forever house!

are you in your forever house? me? well, i am in a house that i am thankful for! its new, beautiful, home but i dont feel its my "forever" house! and i am letting it get to me. i want my forever house so my children can grow up there and then where my grandchildren will come visit! my children are growing up so fast and i am feeling the pressure of finding that forever house. however, the economy has different plans. so, i sit and wait. and with this waiting i feel i cannot do any changes to my house. i kinda feel like its not my house. sorta like renting. ugh. i have grand plans for this forever house!

great giveaway!

my sweet and very talented friend, megan, has a wonderful etsy shop! she specializes in baby accessories and clothing. she also has a blog! and on that blog she is having a fun giveaway! this sweet, petite, girly girl loves to watch the history channel. she makes me laugh. so, for presidents day she has a few history questions for you to answer and then she will randomly pick a lucky winner of a $20 gift certificate for her shop! and she is letting you use google for the answers. kinda like an open book test? ok, maybe like cheating! i told you she was sweet!

paperwhite bulbs!

i have seen so many beautiful paperwhites on other blogs! i love the simple look of these wonderful white flowers! so, i found these on clearence at home depot and thought i would give it a try! now, i am very bad about taking care of plants however i would love to have paperwhites, orchids, and a vegetable garden. so i am starting out slow and easy with these lovelies!

whew! i have been without one of my best friends, my computer! i feel a little lost but now i am found. we are back up and running. i hope everyone had a wonderful valentines day! i sure did!

countdown to valentines day #2!

todays treat as you can see were glazed donut holes! i asked my hubby to do the honors and pick out the treat. donuts are always what daddy brings home. they do love the donuts but i had to make them extra special by making this fun sign that states "sweets for our sweets". very fitting.

they are enjoying these little surprises!

countdown to valentines day #1!

one of my sweet blog friends, mrs. dunbar, started this wonderful idea of doing a little something "sweet" everyday as a countdown of sorts to valentines. i loved the idea so much that i am hopping on the countdown trail with her! now, she started from febuary 1st but i am starting today. better late than never, right? this morning i made my sweethearts strawberry muffins! they love, love, loved them. it was a sweet way to start the week. i do have to admit that i did use an "add milk" package because this mama has been under the weather. but next time i will be trying this recipe.

bbtn trunk show!

i had my bbtn trunk show yesterday. i had so many sweet clothes everywhere! i had to take some pictures of all the different designs they offer. and i had to stick in a yummy food picture too. i love having friends over! i wish i could have all of you over but i thought this would be the next best thing. you still have time if you want to place an order. just let me know. i hope you had a fun weekend!

i am so excited to be hosting my first giveaway! what a way to start a monday! jamie from csn stores contacted me and offered to let me pick something from one of the 200+ stores. i jumped at the chance! how fun! i get to shop and pick something out just for you!
